Anchored Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Anchored, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Anchored team. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Anchored. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.

Anchored is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Each account is for one individual user. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please choose a strong password and do not share it with anyone.

If you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without your authorization, contact us immediately at support@anchoredfaithapp.com.

Anchored is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

You agree to use Anchored only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation or infrastructure
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute app content without written permission
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to interact with the app
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

Anchored includes community features — including shared prayer requests, study groups, and friend connections — where you interact with other believers. We ask that all community interactions reflect the love, grace, and respect that define the Christian faith.

You agree not to post content that is:

• Hateful, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory
• Sexually explicit or obscene
• Intentionally false or misleading
• Spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotions
• Harmful to minors in any way
• Violating another person's privacy or intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access for users who violate these community standards, without prior notice.

Anchored allows you to create and store personal content, including prayer requests, journal entries, and study notes, as well as share certain content publicly, such as community prayer requests.

Your Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create in Anchored. We do not claim ownership over your prayers, journal entries, or personal reflections.

License to Us

By posting content in community spaces (such as public prayer requests), you grant Anchored a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and transmit that content within the app as necessary to operate the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Do not share sensitive personal information — such as financial details, government IDs, or private health data — in public community areas. Private journal entries and personal prayer requests are visible only to you.

Your privacy matters deeply to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Anchored, you agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal data. Your spiritual content — prayers, journals, and reflections — is never used for advertising or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Anchored uses artificial intelligence to generate Bible study content, devotionals, topical studies, and reflection prompts. These features are designed to support your personal faith journey.

Important disclaimers regarding AI-generated content:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or theological interpretations that do not reflect all Christian traditions.
• Content is for educational and devotional purposes only — it is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or pastoral advice.
• AI-generated content is not a substitute for Scripture itself, personal prayer, or guidance from a pastor or qualified spiritual mentor.
• We encourage you to verify all AI-generated content against the Bible and trusted Christian sources.

Anchored makes no warranty regarding the theological accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

Anchored offers a subscription-based premium tier with the following options:

• 7-day free trial — full access to premium features at no charge for eligible new subscribers. The free trial is available once per user. Creating an account does not automatically start a trial — you must initiate a subscription through a supported billing channel.
• Monthly subscription — billed monthly at the displayed price.
• Annual subscription — billed once per year at the displayed price.

Billing Channels

Anchored subscriptions may be processed through the following channels depending on how you access the app:

• Apple App Store — for iOS users subscribing through the native app.
• Google Play Store — for Android users subscribing through the native app.
• Stripe (Web) — for users subscribing through the Anchored website. Web billing is processed by Stripe, Inc. Anchored does not store your payment card details — they are handled securely by Stripe.

Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the channel you used to subscribe:

• Apple subscribers: Manage through your Apple ID account settings.
• Google subscribers: Manage through your Google Play account settings.
• Web (Stripe) subscribers: Manage through the Anchored app (Profile → Manage Subscription), which opens the Stripe Customer Portal.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date.

Important

Deleting the Anchored app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through the appropriate platform to stop future charges. Anchored is not responsible for charges that result from failure to cancel through the correct channel.

Subscription prices are set by us and displayed in the app. Applicable taxes may be added by Apple, Google, or Stripe per their standard practices. All pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.

All content, design, code, graphics, and branding within Anchored — excluding content you create — are the property of Anchored and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our prior written consent. This includes app design, AI-generated study templates, and any proprietary content we create.

Bible text displayed in the app is sourced from third-party providers (such as API.Bible) and is subject to their respective licensing terms. Anchored does not claim ownership over Scripture text.

You may delete your account at any time through the Profile section of the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your personal data and private content will be removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless prohibited.

Termination of your account does not automatically cancel any active subscription. You must cancel through Apple, Google, or the Stripe Customer Portal (for web subscribers) to stop billing.

Anchored is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content, including AI-generated content

Your use of Anchored is at your own risk. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available or that any particular feature will continue to be offered.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Anchored and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or emotional harm.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

We are always working to improve Anchored. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the app at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and notify you through the app or via email.

Your continued use of Anchored after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the app and delete your account.
